Our Genesis: A Space Built with Intent
As a founder, I always used to think about how incredible it would be to find a partner who is a true reflection of my own personality, mindset, and values. Yet, in reality, we all know how rare and challenging it is to find someone who genuinely aligns with your true self, especially in a world dominated by superficial dating apps.
It led me to ask a deeper question: "What if we create a platform where people with similar personalities, mindsets, and values are matched together—anchored in absolute security and trust, where privacy is the default, photos are blurred first, and every individual has complete autonomy over their own connections?"
We built Aligned to answer that call. We wanted to build a premium connection space where you are valued for your mind and spirit, rather than just a superficial photo.

Your visual identity is completely protected. On Aligned, all profile photos are **blurred by default**. Nobody can browse, screenshot, or hoarde your pictures.
People connect with your personality, mind, and values first. Only when there is a **mutual handshake** (both you and your match have accepted the connection) does your profile photo reveal itself to each other. You remain in complete control of who gets to see the real you.
End-to-End Encrypted Chats
Your personal conversations are sacred. When you connect and unlock a match, your chats are fully secured by **industry-standard end-to-end encryption**.
This means the text is encrypted on your device and can only be decrypted by the recipient. Not even the developers, database administrators, or the founders of Aligned can ever read or view a single word of your personal messages.
100% Manual ID Vetting
We operate a closed campus garden. To keep Aligned perfectly secure, every single user must submit a college student ID card.
Our admin team **manually checks and verifies** every single card before granting access to the matching pool. This blocks catfishes, fakes, internet strangers, or non-college outsiders. You have complete certainty that everyone you meet is a verified, real peer.
High Intent & Ephemeral Chats
Why do we charge a minor one-time Handshake fee of ₹49 to open a mutual chat, and why does the chat disappear after 72 hours?
Because a quiet garden requires a premium filter. By introducing a tiny ₹49 filter, we immediately keep out bored accounts, casual catalogers, and toxic attention-seekers.
