Aligned is built only for real college students. Your ID card helps us confirm that you are a genuine, currently enrolled student on your campus. This keeps the platform safe and ensures every person you connect with is a real peer.
Matching Your Details with Your ID
We compare the name, department, and year you entered with what's on your college ID card. This makes sure nobody creates a fake profile with made-up information. If your details match your ID, you get verified quickly.
Protecting You from Fake Accounts
Without ID checks, anyone could join with a random name and pretend to be someone they are not. By verifying every single user, we make sure the person behind every profile is exactly who they say they are.
Your ID Stays Completely Private
Your college ID card is never shown to anyone — not your matches, not other users, nobody. It is stored securely and used only by our admin team for a one-time verification. After approval, it is never accessed again.
Only Admins See Your ID
A small, trusted admin team reviews your ID card manually. No automated system reads it, no data is extracted, and your photo on the ID is never used anywhere on your profile. Your selfie and your ID are kept completely separate.
One Person, One Account
